Historical information
The site is for general information, education and historical research. Care is taken over accuracy and references, but the account may contain errors or omissions and can change as evidence is checked. For research or publication, consult the cited records and consider their date, context and limitations.
Maps, range overlays and diagrams explain the history. Their captions describe approximations; they are not navigation aids or records of confirmed targeting plans. A photograph’s individual caption identifies its date and context.
